Part of a collection of illustrations done for a documentary on North Carolina's ghosts. Targeted at the elementary and middle school ages, the producer wanted a modern comic book feel, while capturing a vintage look. The style was kept loose to match Blackbeard's ruggedness and to complement the story telling aspect of the documentary.
